Hello, creative friends!
It’s time for us to dedicate another hour to thinking about and making contact with our creative channel.
April’s gathering is about being in gentle community as we share or talk about our work; in particular, I’m inviting us to let something previously unwitnessed have a chance at being witnessed and celebrated. This includes but is not limited to: rejected poems, writing that is still very electric and new, or a behind-the-scenes glimpse of something you’re working on strictly for personal experience.
We gather tomorrow, 4/23, at 5:15 pm PST / 8:15pm EST.
Genuinely good & earnest reasons I think you should attend:
Because celebrating craft and our finished work is vital, yes, and so is the inherent worthiness of creative experience and effort.
Because you are so super busy these days, and showing up in the name of creativity for one hour is both fairly accessible and something you can feel proud of afterwards.
Because you *feel* so incredibly busy these days, and you want to show yourself that you can spend 60 minutes slowing down for the sake of this part of you that is so important to who and how you are.
Because you like sharing and/or talking about your work, OR
Because you struggle with sharing and/or talking about your work, and therefore want to practice doing so in a small, strengths-based venue, where neurodivergence, joy, and celebration will be front of mind.
What it all comes down to is this: devotion, repetition, and showing up.
