September Resiliency Circle: Autumn Attunement
Friends! It’s time once again to gather for a strengths-based, generative hour. In honor of the upcoming equinox (on 9/22), let’s spend September’s gathering doing some fall-inspired writing.
This month, my aim is to balance reflective words with creative ones. Let’s use this moment of the season as a way to check-in with ourselves, but also to play around a little.
We’re gathering on Wednesday, September 18th, at 5:15pm PDT / 8:15pm EDT.
Zoom link included at the bottom of today’s letter. Learn more about The Resiliency Circle here.
P.S.
Would you be interested in meeting on Halloween (a Thursday) for the October Resiliency Circle? And doing some playful / spooky writing, with an eye toward ritual? Dear readers, please let me know!

~A creative / attentional exercise~
But first, a quick story…
My partner and I were walking the other day, having a typical conversation—about books & authors, things authors say about books, what we do and don’t agree with, etc.
(As I continue to unmask, I’m pleased to be running into a healthier amount of those don’ts.)
We began chatting about our grad school experiences, something that often involves trying to articulate the harm and confusion it caused each of us.
But today was different, and we found ourselves talking about the things we do miss, not about *that* specific program per se, but about the best parts of the emotional environment that being in school can create: That feeling of being surrounded by people who really give a shit about something specific.
